Opening Dates for Local Farmers Markets in Amarillo and Canyon
Let's face it, farmers markets are great. They are the perfect place to find local produce as well as homemade items and more. Who doesn't love a fresh grown fruit or vegetables, or homemade jams, jellies, breads, etc. Our area has some great growers. Since Summer is almost here, so are the farmers markets in the area.
Last year the Amarillo Community Market opened for the first time and was a huge success and it is back this year.
The Amarillo Community Market will feature food trucks, herbs and vegetables, live plants, flowers, arts and crafts, jams, jellies, and baked goods and so much more.
The Amarillo Community Market will be located in downtown Amarillo at between 10th and 11th on Polk St.
The Amarillo Community Market will be open 9am-1pm every Saturday.
Opening day is Saturday, June 10th.
The Canyon Farmer's Market will be located on the south side of the Canyon Courthouse Square at 4th Ave and 15th St.
The Canyon Farmer's Market will be open on Saturdays from 8am-12n through October.
Vendors will be on location with delicious produce that is grown locally. Items such as peppers, squash, corn, tomatoes, beans, a variety of melons, potatoes and more. Plus, lot's of home made baked goods, lots of crafts.
Opening Day will be on Saturday, July 1st.
The Golden Spread Farmers Market is located on the east parking lot of Sunset Center near 15th and Pecos.
The Golden Spread Farmers Market is open 7am-11am or until sell out, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Vendors will be selling locally grown vegetables, fruits and more.
Opening day is July 1st.
