Law Enforcement Warns Amarillo Travelers Of Increased Presence July Fourth

If you're planning on traveling over the Fourth of July weekend, you'll want to make sure you're on your best behavior. There is going to be an increased law enforcement presence in Amarillo.

The Potter County Sheriff's Office recently took to social media to remind everyone that they are going to be out in force over the Independence Day weekend. They're teaming up with the Texas Department of Transportation to get it done.

Unfortunately, this is a conversation that has to be had in the area. We all know that it is never safe to drink and drive, yet it still happens. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, someone dies every 8 hours and 29 minutes in a crash caused by impaired driving.
