It's a time honored tradition at the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum. It's their annual Christmas Open House. A perfect weekend to enjoy the holiday fun with the family.

The PPHM makes it easy to enjoy the holidays, in fact you have two chances to attend the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum Christmas Open House.  If you're having fun you can attend both days.

Friday, November 30th from 6-9pm, or Saturday December 1st from 1-5pm

Cost: One canned food item per person for the High Plains Food Bank or a $1 per person donation

The PPHM has been collecting food for the High Plains Food Bank during their Christmas Open House for 6 years and it is one of the largest single events that collects for for the HPFB.  Can food is great, but did you know that the HPFB can turn $1 multiple meals.

“For years PPHM has collected canned food, but what really helps the Food Bank is cash. We’re suggesting this year that you bring $1 per person for admission to help serve even more people in our area.” said Carol Lovelady, PPHM director.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be hanging out in the Hazelwood Lecture Hall to take all those Christmas requests.   Plus, you'll take a trip in history, by stepping back into the 1890's in Pioneer Town as role players show you what Christmas was like back in the day.  Down in the basement the kids will get to make some really cool Christmas crafts.  Venture into the Llano Theater and listen to the amazing storytellers tell Christmas stories in front of a fire.

Enjoy fun, holiday performances from local school and community choirs.

Don't miss all the Christmas Fun at the PPHM Christmas Open House.
