So last weekend was the first in 6 years that the Amarillo Bulls had a home series that I wasn’t a part of. Yes, I have taken time off before but this was the first weekend that I was not employed there anymore.

I knew going in that it was best for the club. They had a full time employee that can now do it and not cost them anymore money. I also knew it would help me out with time off and not to kill me at tax season but this weekend it hit me.

I took my only dog (I had to put my other one down a few weeks ago) for a walk. Of course every song reminded me of working for the Amarillo Bulls.

From “Cool Kids”...they played that used to play as the refs came out....to “Amarillo Sky” that they would play during warm-ups....oh and “Shake It Off” the song they would play a lot during Dance For Your Dinner....even though I ALWAYS wanted “Shut Up And Dance With Me”

I have so many great memories...oh and this past weekend I have had many reminders why I hated leaving....

It just made sense to me to save the team some money. Plus it is nice to have some time for myself since I seem to work A LOT. I mean it when I say I hope they need me to fill in sometime.....I will be there. I loved my six years with the team. I have made a lot of friends. I had some great co-workers and Bulls fans that I wouldn't have met any other way.

Here is to the Bulls rest of the season and their return to the playoffs again! I will be cheering them on! I may even get to make a game or two now.
