It is time for my daughter's yearly move. I am making my plans to be out of town for a few days. That leaves me with a dilemma. My dog, Chipper, needs to be taken care of while I am gone.
If 2020 showed us anything it is how stressed we are these days. We need to learn to control that but it can be hard. We are missing out on sleep. We are missing out on a lot of good for us things. We don't get out as much with our family and friends because of stress.
It's time to get ready for bed. Get stuff picked up around the house. Say goodnight to the kiddos. You let your dog out one more time before you all go to sleep. The hope is that they can make it through the night without another trip outside. Fingers crossed.
The fact that 2020 has been such a challenging year is nothing new. As we are getting closer to wrap it up we still have to remember we have things to be thankful for as well. I have had two dogs for the past twelve years. They have been best buds. Cinnamon and Chipper were both Puggles, half Pug and half Beagle, the weren't from the same litter but they sure thought so. They were both the same age. So really they were like sisters.
A lot of people have been working from home for the past few months. We may see a start to returning to our normal offices. How does that sit with your pets? They have been used to having you home. Now you are being ripped away from them.
I know that going for a walk with your dog is by far a healthy thing for you to do for yourself; but it is also great for your dog. You both get to go outside in the environment. You both get some much needed exercise.
