I have had a dog or dogs in my house since my daughter was about three years old. That means for about twenty-two years I have had accidents, slobber, toys, food bowls, water bowls all over my house.
I remember it well. My daughter was in the fourth grade when we first walked through the doors of Pitter Patter Pets. She was in awe. The animals they had. She wanted to bring them all home.
It is time for my daughter's yearly move. I am making my plans to be out of town for a few days. That leaves me with a dilemma. My dog, Chipper, needs to be taken care of while I am gone.
If 2020 showed us anything it is how stressed we are these days. We need to learn to control that but it can be hard. We are missing out on sleep. We are missing out on a lot of good for us things. We don't get out as much with our family and friends because of stress.
It's time to get ready for bed. Get stuff picked up around the house. Say goodnight to the kiddos. You let your dog out one more time before you all go to sleep. The hope is that they can make it through the night without another trip outside. Fingers crossed.
The fact that 2020 has been such a challenging year is nothing new. As we are getting closer to wrap it up we still have to remember we have things to be thankful for as well. Even though we have had a lot of ups and downs this year. We have had loved ones die, we have had people get sick, we have had major milestones canceled. We have all had stuff change for us.
