As many of us celebrated the end of one of the hardest years we've ever faced, headlines in Amarillo weren't all celebratory.

There was the news reports about the officers who were struck by a drunk driver while trying to direct traffic. Thankfully, recent reports have stated that the officers are fine.

Throw in what we're seeing on the national stage when it comes to stimulus packages and checks, the election that just won't end, and of course...Covid-19, and it doesn't feel like 2020 has ended yet. Not even seven days in, and I'm already exhausted thanks to the barrage of bad news.

There's a lot of self help bozos out there that want to give you a lot of nonsense on how to achieve inner peace in 2021, but I think I can sum it all up without selling you a book, webinar, or subscription to a private Discord channel.

Take a deep breath. Relax a little bit. Don't be a jackass. Unplug from the bad news. Find something you can enjoy, and go do it.

Here's to hoping we have a better 2021.
