Albuquerque Air Traffic Control was tracking a small plane on radar, early this morning, when they lost the plane from the radar 2 miles east of Amarillo.


The plane had tried to make a landing at Tradewinds Airport then aborted and headed for Rick Husband International Airport when it dropped from the radar.

Search and rescue crews having been trying to find the aircraft.

The search for the missing aircraft continues this morning.

UPDATE: According to our friends at ProNews 7:

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety the missing plane has been found. It crash landed 2 miles north of Highway 60 in the area of FM 1912 and north Parsley. 3 people were killed in the crash.
