Here we are in the second week of September. We have school back in session. High school football is in action. We also have college football and the NFL back too. So this means that our nights and weekends are getting even busier.

Hodgetown is gearing up for their last couple of weeks of baseball for the season. The Sod Poodles are even making a run to finish in second place. Which is huge for this season. So we will be keeping an eye on that.

We have officially two series left at home before the season ends. The first kicked off last night. We still have lots of fun for the season. We have two more Weiner Wednesday's where you can get $1 hot dogs at the concession stands. Charlie and I will be out next Wednesday for this and we have talked about a hot dog eating challenge among the two of us. So that should be fun.

We have two more Thirsty Thursdays where you can get $2 domestic drafts and fountain sodas. There will also be two more Friday Night Fireworks before the season ends.

There are other great things packed into the next two weeks. On Saturday, September 11th they will have a remembrance of 9/11. They will also be answering the age old question of "what IS a Sod Poodle?".  A diamond dig will happen after the game where someone can walk away with a nice diamond bracelet.

On Sunday September 12th they will give away t-shirt hoodie's to the first 1500 fans. This is all while Tulsa is in town.

Then the Frisco Rough Riders head to town for our final games. There will be our last $2 Tuesday for cheap seats to the game. Thursday, September 16th is a big day. Former Arizona Diamondback Randy Johnson will make an appearance. Man that dude is tall. That will be a big night at the park.

Saturday, September 18th will have the last firework night of the season. So they are going to go out with bigger and more fireworks for our last night at Hodgetown.

Sunday the 19th is our final game of the season. They will be giving away Fernando Tatis Jr Bobbleheads to the first 1500 fans over 12 years old. Kids will also have their final chance to run the bases after this afternoon game. So as we are saying goodbye to baseball for this season you have a chance to still come out and support our Amarillo Sod Poodles.
