Free is the Word at the Panhandle Plains Museum in Canyon
Who doesn't love the word free? I mean that makes anything better. If there is fun family activities for free that is even better. That is going to be the case. Canyon is place.
Everyone is going to be heading to Canyon on Saturday, October 9th. We love our homecomings. We have a few high schools that are still waiting for theirs. Then of course we have West Texas A&M's. It a fun day that starts with a parade. The parade lines the street of the campus.
Of course the big game is that night as well. Everyone will be wearing their maroon. There will be tailgates and general fun at the game.
If you are looking for something else to do between the parade and the game. Or maybe just something for the family on that day the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum can help you out.
In celebration of the big homecoming game for WT the museum is opening it's doors all day for free. Yes, free admission throughout the museum. They will be open from 9am - 5pm. So you can take part in the parade. There is bound to be candy for the kids. All good parades do. So once you get your fill from the parade you can head on over for some fun at the museum.
There will still be time to make a full day of it with the homecoming game later that evening. Canyon is sure making it a full day of fun for everyone.
