It Is Better To Wait Later In The Year To Start Your Resolutions
We are officially two weeks into the new year. Did you come up with a New Years Resolution? Have you kept it? If not don't fret.
According to a psychology professor at the University of Texas at Austin that may be a good thing. He says we should actually wait until March 4th to start any resolutions.
Yep, you read that right. You still have time to make this the best year for you. Apparently in January we know what it is we are wanting to change but the problem is we don't have a clue how to actually be successful at it.
We also know that the last couple months of the year are a super crazy time and we need to take some time to slow down. Take that first couple of months to really think how we are going to accomplish the goals we are setting ourselves up to do.
So if you look at the calendar and after the first Monday....you count out 8 weeks that brings us to March 4th. The perfect time to make those resolutions.
So some things that you need to be thinking about between now and the March 4th starting date are important. You need to come up with a plan for what needs to be changed and how you will actually go about it. Maybe start slow by incorporating some of your plans.
You need to also step back and take a look at your existing habits. You need to decide what you need to change and what will help you on your way.
You also need to make sure you keep people who are motivational close to you. Try to get those negative Nancy's out of your life. Surrounding yourself with positive people is important to obtaining those goals.
Even if you haven't started your New Years goals do know that you still have time to make some changes.
