It seems that a very beloved Amarillo business has closed its doors…again.

Supporting our mom-and-pop shops here in Amarillo really is important. If not, this is what happens. Another place in Amarillo had to shut its doors. I saw the announcement over the weekend.

The quickest way to lose your business is not to pay your employees. That was step number one for Grill Italia. They had announced earlier that their place was closing but owner, Pepi Osmani, promised it was temporary.

Amarillo's newest Italian restaurant has announced its closure after only 5 months in operation. Employees say there's more to the story.

The news came out early last month that the Donut Stop was closing in Canyon. That place was a mainstay on 23rd as you made your way into Canyon. It was a fixture in the donut community.

This is something I have been waiting for. This prime real estate has been sitting vacant since Leal's closed during the pandemic. Before Leal's, it was the local favorite in Gardski's.

It's been another crazy year. It was about a year ago that The Catch announced they were about to open. They were going to be our newest seafood place here in Amarillo. They opened last June and they are closing this June.

It's a sad day when you hear about a business closing its doors.

Amarillo we love our Mexican food. We love it in all forms. We love Tex Mex. We love it all. We will take fast food or we are good at sitting down at a restaurant. We just love food.

There have been some hard times facing food places in Amarillo and Canyon. Since the pandemic when most places just shut down. To then try to find people who wanted to work.

A hot dog is what I am meaning. Once we had five Wienerschnitzel. I love their dogs. I really do. We are now taking a hit. We have only four.
