It's a running joke with me about how often I get called for jury duty. It's at least once a year. Well, that is except for that year of reprieve due to Covid. I was never called in 2020 but I was back in the pool last year in 2021.
I really wish we could stop writing about scams happening in Amarillo. I wish we could find a way for everyone to make an honest living and not find the need to try to scam people out of their money.
It's been a while since we have had to warn you about a scam in Amarillo. Obviously, we have to always be aware. The scams can come from anywhere these days. We have to watch out for scam calls.
So not that long ago I received a questionnaire from Potter County. I knew once I filled it in and submitted it I was on the clock. I knew it was only a matter of time until I would get that jury summons.
It was just earlier this month when I received the questionnaire from Potter County for Jury Duty. I filled it out. It was online. Simple. Just a few questions. I knew it was just a matter of time before I would receive a summons. I see you Potter County. I know how you work.
I always joke that Potter County calls me at least twice a year for Jury Duty. I really don't mind going. I promise Potter County. Please don't put me on some secret list. Heck many times when I show up I make it on the jury. Most the time I am actually chosen as foreman. I guess it is my quiet demeanor.
