In the past few days, we already heard that the building that Grill Italia occupied was up for sale. Now another local favorite also had a sign go up at their business.
Amarillo has a lot of places where you can grab your friends and head out for a great meal. You drive down almost any main street of this great town and you are going to run into a place or two.
I will be the first to admit that I have never heard of Montana style barbecue. I didn't know that was even a thing. I mean this is Texas. We have got some of the best barbecue ever. Right here from our very own state of Texas. So this is going to be interesting.

So as we are getting closer to the start of May and events coming back in full force it seems we need to fill up that calendar. Things are about to get hectic so the sooner we can make plans the better.
I love being able to report good news. Golden Light, the place we know we can get a darn good burger. I know I am right. If you haven't tried their location on 6th Street I don't know where you have been.
While my daughter was in town the past few days we were talking about restaurants in Amarillo. One that she really loved going to was Mr. Fish. If you have never been there the sad part is you can't anymore. The beloved restaurant on Sixth Street recently closed down.
Labor Day Weekend will be here in a few days. It is our last official hurrah before we say goodbye to summer. We need to pack in as much fun stuff as we possibly can before fall is upon us.
