You want the kids to have a memorable summer vacation, right? You want them to have fun. You want them to have something to write about on their first day back to school. You know we always write about "what I did over summer vacation."
I know that one of the summer camp locations that my daughter always looked forward to attending each summer was at Amarillo College. We would get that camp book in the mail and we would look forward to picking out the fun activities.
So we just said goodbye to Spring Break 2022 that only means one thing. The race is on to the end of the school year. In just a couple short months the kiddos need something else to do.
I have always loved the idea of summer camps. So much to do. So many new things to try. I will admit I am the least creative person. I can't decorate or have any creative skills to make things look nice.
Ok this is not a drill. The thoughts of 2020 are behind us. At least that is what we need to remember. Too many things were cancelled last year. Not many proms, graduations or summer camps. Luckily that was all last year. Here we are and things are so much better. Many people have been vaccinated. The idea of things being cancelled are not the same.
I always heard while my daughter was growing up how big volleyball is here in Amarillo. I got to watch is first hand. It is so much fun. The girls here are on a whole other level. One of my favorite times was when my daughter was playing.
