If you have a interest in those icky, creepy, exoskeleton things that creep across the floor then get ready for Buggin' Out at the Amarillo Zoo.

Coming up on Saturday, August 13th, from 1-3pm you and the family can learn all about the creepy crawly bugs that move around Amarillo.

You'll learn about bugs of different colors, shapes, and sizes.

Learn all about:

Brown Recluse and Black Widow spiders

See the Madagascar hissing cockroaches and the Brazilian giant cave roaches.

Learn about the Blue Death Feigning Beetles and how they avoid being eaten

Box turtles, spiny tail monitors and other animals will get to enjoy their cricket snacks

Zoo keepers will be on hand to answer any kind of buggy questions you might have and will teach you all about bugs they care for at the Amarillo Zoo.

Plus, make a really cool 6-legged craft

If you are feeling brave enough you can sample roasted crickets and mealworms.

Cost for this awesome event is admission to the Amarillo Zoo.

$4 for adults (ages 13-61)

$3 for seniors (ages 62 and up)

$2 for children (ages 3-12)

Children 2 and under are free.
