I ran across a story today about robots helping out stroke patients in rural areas in Arizona.  My first thought was how cool is this, a robot allowing a doctor to treat a stroke patient without even being in the same room.  Keep reading to watch the video.  Now with that said, what does this mean for the future of medicine.

Check out the video on the robots helping stroke victims.

As, I watched this video, how awesome is this for rural hospitals who don't have the funds to have specialists at their own hospitals.

Then I also started thinking, what does this mean for the future of medicine? Does this mean that it is possible that in the future when I go visit a doctor's office, I will be greeted by a robot being remotely controlled by a doctor a thousand miles away?
