Little Parks In Amarillo That We Forget Exist
When I moved into the Bivins area several years ago I loved taking my dogs for a walk. There were so many trees. That is what my first impression was. Oh, the trees. Why does Amarillo not have a ton of trees?

Oh but we do have our parks. I love that about our city. We have plenty of stuff for the kiddos to do. Areas that they can run free. Areas that you can take your puppies for a walk.
When I moved to the Bivins area I noticed this little area of land that for all practical purposes was a park. No, there is not a playground. It's a great area where you can fly kites, walk your dogs or just run around.
I am not quite sure but this has to be considered a park. I mean what else can it be?
It got me to thinking about other parks that are so little you pretty much forget about them. Before living in Bivins I was in the Wolflin area. I remember when looking for homes I was driving the Oliver Eakle area.
That is where I came upon this other little park. Oliver Eakle Park - 28th and Polk. Very cute and it even has a fountain. I mean that makes for a pretty cool park.
Asking around I wanted to know what other park needed to be included. I was told Sanborn Park - 1401 S Taylor. was another little park that wished it was a little bit bigger.
It still offers some coolness.
