Valentines Day Gifts? Can He Really Buy Your Love?

A Hallmark holiday. That is what everyone says. Valentines Day is a day to spend MORE money after a hectic holiday season. You haven't even paid off your credit card from that fiasco. Now here we are going into more debt for Valentines Day.

Do You Really Need Him to Buy You Something to Show He Loves You?

You may be with someone who says "I don't need you to waste money on flowers for me. They will just die." Oh, and she may say that. Deep down in her heart she wants to get that delivery at work.

Trust me. If all of her friends are getting something and nobody comes through the door for her. She may not say anything but she will be a little disappointed.

If you have you know the fight started over twelve lemons for a 12 lemon centerpiece. One part of the fight every man should learn:

Brooke: "And you could have thought to yourself, you know, you could have said,
"Yeah, I think I'm gonna get Brooke some flowers."

Gary: "You said on our very first date that you don't like flowers, that they're a waste of money."

Brooke: "Every girl likes flowers, Gary."

Heck, I'm not even in a relationship and I know this. Heck, last year I challenged a guy I know to deliver something to my house. In my mind I thought he would run to Walgreen's and grab a little box of chocolates and drop them off.

That really was what I was thinking. Oh, and I wouldn't have been disappointed. I mean it was my challenge on Valentines Day and we weren't even dating. He took the challenge to heart and proved he really knew me.

The CD was because when I knew him in a former life. I was working at Amarillo College in the radio department. We both loved The Judybats. I gave him a CD back then....and he remembered. Heck, he still has that CD. So he returned the favor by giving me one I didn't have.

So Valentines Day is something to everyone. Do you get them flowers? Do you get them candy? Do you get something to show your really know them? The only way you can go wrong is if you don't acknowledge them at all. If you don't get them anything.
