If you've made the move to TikTok, and you want more views on your video, apparently you need to feature the beaches of Amarillo.

Technically, I guess you could say we do at one of the ponds or "lakes" we have in town. But if you're looking for white sand, clear water, and lots of sunshine; you're in the wrong place.

However, that hasn't stopped people from making TikTok videos featuring our beautiful coasts.

There Are No Pirate Ships In Amarillo

The first time we saw the "beaches of Amarillo" was when we stumbled upon this TikTok from MyCurlyAdventures.

It was all in jest, and some people picked up on the joke. Others were incredibly confused. It's understandable considering we live on the backside of the desert, and yet the video shows a tropical paradise.

One could say that she was adding insult to injury when it comes to the climate of the Texas panhandle.

A More Brazen New Comer To The Beaches Of Amarillo

Recently, this video popped up. It's a bit more brazen than MyCurlyAdventure's. Instead of just a quick snippet, the whole thing is just about Amarillo being a tropical paradise.

This TikTok video makes Yellow City look like the kind of place Gilligan winds up at during a three hour tour.

If you look closely enough, I'm certain you can see The Professor and Mary Ann making a radio out of coconuts.

The hashtags don't even allude to the fact that this is potentially all a ruse.

What's funny is the number of comments, shares, and likes on these videos. Apparently if you want people to interact with your content, all you need to do is pretend Amarillo is an island paradise.
