What is Starbucks ‘Sick Tea?’
Maybe you call it something else, the 'coldbuster,' or the 'medicine ball,' but it's a fan favorite that's actually on the menu now as Honey Citrus Mint Tea.
According to Starbucks.com, this customer designed drink was 'so popular it’s now on the menu. Jade Citrus Mint™ Green Tea, Peach Tranquility® Herbal Tea, hot water, steamed lemonade and a touch of honey mingle tastefully well together for a tea that comforts from the inside out.'
When you're not feeling well, you often aren't looking closely at the calories, sugars and carbs. In fact, if you've been really sick, you may need the additional sugars and carbs, because you haven't been eating or drinking as much. This drink is packed with 36 total carbs and 33 grams of sugar.
I learned about it from a friend who calls it 'sick tea.' Regardless of the name, if it helps us find relief during this cold and flu season I'm game to give it a try!
