We joke that we gain 10 pounds just by looking at a piece of cake. Do you feel that way too?

I was reading a story the other day that really struck a nerve with me and a lot of my co-workers. It stated that the average person has gained 12 pounds since they started their job. Oh and depending on where you work it seems to be mostly true.

I looked around my workplace last week and I couldn't believe what I saw. I walked in late one morning and missed out on donuts. Luckily they were mostly gone. This was on a desk outside my office.

Then I got into my office and this was in my chair. Now to be fair I did ask a co-worker to pick me up one. So this is all on me.

Then an email was sent out about brownies in another department. They wanted us to come celebrate as they said "National Not Brownie Day". So we made it a thing.

Oh but don't forget just minutes later one of my co-workers came by letting us know that there was tons of Chop Chop in one of the meeting rooms. Come and try the cauliflower rice they said.

This was basically all in one day. If you count the baby shower we had at the end of the day on Friday. You have to partake in the cake. You can't be rude.

So to say that work is where you are most likely to gain weight. Yep, I can see it. Between all the food and all the sitting at your desk. It's enough to drive you crazy and make you sad as you step on that scale.
