Dressing Rooms are Starting to Re-open Here in Amarillo
One of the things that was the hardest for me, I would also bet, for most women was buying clothes during the pandemic. First we had the issue of how easy it was to gain weight.
We were all at home. We had it easy to eat all that we wanted. The kitchen was right there. We also may not have had as easy of a time to exercise. The gyms were closed. That didn't help.
If you did make it out to the store. Maybe you needed new clothes to accommodate the weight gain. Or maybe you just needed some new comfy clothes. The issue was the dressing rooms were closed. I get it. I do. It, though, made it really tough to buy clothes. I think as a woman it made it even tougher on us.
You can buy three different brands in the same size of pants and they will all fit differently. You know what I am talking about. It really is tough. Not having dressing rooms then increased our issue. We had to buy several different sizes and hope one fit. If you were brave you just bought one size and again hoped it fit. There was a lot of trying things on and maybe having to return.
I bought a lot from Kohl's. They are probably one of the easiest stores to buy and make returns from. They also had their dressing rooms closed. I would order online and then have them shipped to my house. I would try them on and then make that painful return.
It was nice when we walked into Target the other day. The guy at the door greeted us by letting us know that the dressing room was now open. Oh my goodness that was great news. Shopping with my daughter was even tougher. She would only be here for the weekend. So if we bought clothes and they didn't work.....we had to rush to return and hope the next size worked.
Our Koh's has one fitting room open. I will take it!
I know this may not seem like a big deal. I promise, though, that dressing rooms being open is huge for me. How about you? Comment below.
