So a couple weeks ago you could go out to Rick Husband International Airport and have a meeting to get your TSA PreCheck.

Which means once you go through the process you can get through security easier. You won't have to take off your shoes, belt, put your liquids in a ziplock, or take out your laptop. Oh and it usually is a shorter line.

I went out of town a few days ago and of course I received my TSA PreCheck approval email while I was sitting at Dallas Love Field. So it wasn't really going to help me on this trip because I didn't have the letter from them in the mail yet. I just knew it was on the way.

I got to fly home with my daughter. We already made it through security at one busy airport only to arrive once again at Dallas Love Field. Since Faith lives in the area and I had a layover we decided to leave the airport and get dinner with a friend.

This meant I would have to go through the whole security situation again. I, unfortunately, forgot to take my chapstick out of my pocket. Yep, that was my major crime. Of course it came up on the scanner.

The TSA agent asked me what I had in my pocket. I showed her and she said that chapstick cost me a pat down. Yep, first time that ever happened. She explained where she was going to touch me.....to make sure I had nothing else on me. The lady behind me in line was laughing at me.

She was laughing until she had to go through the same thing. All this extra attention for me just because of chapstick. I am SO glad I went through the process of getting my TSA Precheck. I know the next time I won't have to go through all this or get the pat down.

I was so happy to be back in Amarillo!
