We have learned in the past few months the importance of washing your hands. You have to use soap and warm water and wash for at least 20 seconds. I think we have finally learned the value of that. We have learned about keeping our phones clean. We know we can now you antibacterial wipes to clean our phones. If we have learned anything we are finally being cleaner. What about your face?
You want to put your best face forward? Correct? I mean but can we really do that if we are not washing our face the right way? Here are some of the common things we do wrong when attempting our daily beauty routine.
Some people actually only use water. What good does that possibly do? Well not much really. You need to use a face cleanser. Also temperature does matter. You should not use really hot water. Doing so will strip some of the natural moisture your face makes. Instead you should always use lukewarm water. It is better for your skin.
How do you dry off your skin? Do you use a towel? If so that is OK but you shouldn't rub your face with the towel. You need to pat it dry. If you rub your face it will dry your skin out.
How many times do you wash your face per day? I admit I only wash mine at night at the end of the day. I thought that was good. I wasn't over washing. Turns out that I am under washing my face. Most dermatologists say you should wash your face twice a day. You are best if you wash it once in the morning and once at night. I guess I better change my routine up a bit.
Do you wash your face after you sweat? If you don't you are doing yourself a disservice. You head over to Golds Gym or Planet Fitness to get a good workout in. That is great but If you don't wash your face right away the sweat and oil seeps into your skin. That will then clog you pores and trust me breakouts are no fun.
So let's make an effort to treat our face the best we can. It is, after all. the only one we have.
