We have all been there. We start off with huge goals. Whether it is in the beginning of the year with New Year's resolutions or it's the beginning of a weight loss challenge. We start off so great and then as the time goes on, we lose hope and we lose focus.

Sometimes we just have to keep starting over again and again. It is the whole not giving up that we have to focus on. I know sometimes it can be frustrating but you just can't quit.

To make things easier, start with goals that you really want to do. That makes it a little easier. If you hate the idea of going to the gym, you know that pledging to do just that will not be easy to accomplish. If you want to get healthier and get some exercise, then make the pledge to go for walks. Take your dogs with you if that makes it easier. Pledge to take a walk around City View. Make a goal for you to head to Medi Park with the family. A goal like that accomplishes your workout and is also easier to make happen.

Sometimes you pick a goal that you just can't seem to accomplish. Maybe you decided that you want to eat at home more often. Maybe you realize that your work schedule does not make that easy to do. What can you do in a situation like that? You have two choices. You can start slow with just eating a home cooked meal on the weekends. If you are more serious about it, why not meal prep? You can do that on weekends and have your meals ready to go. You can either dump your meals in the crockpot so it is ready for you when you get home. The other victory is having it already cooked and all you have to do is reheat. You can do this.

So whatever you choose to do know that it doesn't have to be big. Even if you fail a time or two, all hope is not lost. All you have to do is stand up, wipe off the dirt and begin again.
