Amarillo Moms Have You Noticed a Baby Formula Shortage?

My daughter came to visit a couple weeks ago. When travelling she has an almost five month old baby. So just think about everything she has to pack. I told her what we could buy in Amarillo we would.

When she asked about formula I told her to just pack a couple of cans. That would last her awhile, right? She actually packed three and man did that stuff go fast. So I ordered some from Sam's. I mean it's a bigger size.

That is Where I Messed Up

I ordered the wrong kind.

So I thought I would just return and get what she needed. Except online it shows they are out of the Simlac Total Comfort formula she gets. So hiccup number one.

Then I thought no big deal I would order on Amazon until Sam's had what was needed. No dice there either. Similac Total Comfort was out there as well. Dang, Amazon has EVERYTHING, or at least I thought.

She has eight cans at home. In Dallas, where we were going today, if the roads were not the way they were. So a lot of help they are. So anytime I seen Similac at Walgreens I will grab a can or two.

The one on the left is still not the same stuff but close enough. A can only lasts a few days. We just have to get this shortage fixed. We don't want to have to get her used to other kinds.

I can't be the Mimi who lets her granddaughter starve.  Faith is a member of a couple of mom groups and it looks like this is not an isolated incident. There are moms all over reporting shortages of the formula they are needing.
