Downtown Amarillo Will Light Up During the Annual Center City Electric Light Parade
It has become a Christmas Tradition in Amarillo. A evening where you bundle up your kids and head downtown with your blankets and lawn chairs to watch the great Christmas light parade.
The Center City Electric Light Parade returns.
WHEN: Friday, December 2nd, 6pm
WHERE: Downtown on Polk St. Route will start at 11th and Polk continuing north to 3rd then east to the north Civic Center parking lot.
COST: Nothing, absolutely free.
This year the theme will be Songs of the Season. The parade floats will be decorated and themed after some of your favorite Christmas songs. So look for great songs like Joy to the World, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer all come to life.
Bring your family, lawn chairs, blankets, beverages
Get there early to get the best seats.
Don't forget that after the parade make your way over to the North Civic Center parking lot. Santa will be there visiting with the kids and the Mayor will light the Amarillo City Christmas tree.
Once the parade is over, don't forget you can have dinner downtown and one of the many restaurants. Grab some coffee or hot chocolate from Palace Coffee House or just have a drink or two if you don't have the kids at one of the many establishments. A great way to have fun and support our local downtown businesses.
