So here I am in the final few days of the weight loss challenge at work. This started in January and final weigh in is Friday.

A few weeks ago I asked my daughter, Faith, what she wanted for Christmas dinner. I expected an answer like: turkey, ham, or even Mexican food like tamales or enchiladas.

There was this ridiculous story last week that said Thanksgiving Dinner should only cost you $48.90 this year. I thought in no way could that be right.

Who knew that there were so many ways to get sick or hurt on Thanksgiving. You are sure to have a great time hanging out with friends and family.

There is going to be a lot of food! With a lot of food preparation going on there are some hazards that we need to be aware of during the festivities.

I have got to start by saying I love Thanksgiving. I do cook a really killer turkey and everything that goes with it. We look forward to it every year. BUT....

With Thanksgiving a little over two weeks from now we already know most of that day will be spend in a coma. Right? I mean if you do it right you will!

I love all the new foods I am trying that I than can tell you about. There have been some great new dishes. Just like this one from McAlister's Deli.

When I hear the Tri-State Fair is approaching, my mouth begins to water. The fair is my gateway to the fall holidays. You can have the Indian Tacos, Funnel Cakes, and fried pickles. The turkey legs are mine. I love "Turkey Leg" season.

We've heard it said that when we die, we'll go to Love Field in Dallas, before we go up or down. It seems every flight from Amarillo goes to Dallas first, and then off to your final destination.

What the heck is a "Gobble Wobble"? It's not a funny dance or a turkey waddling down the hallway. It's a great way to have a Happy Thanksgiving for your family and for those in need with the Southwest Ambucs.
