With the end of another school year here it is time to find fun things to do. The kiddos will be looking for ways to celebrate. We, as parents, want to also find a way that is not going to break our budget.

I remember when my daughter was growing up I would hunt for fun things for us to do. I didn't want us sitting around all day long just watching TV. I mean I wanted to get her out and let her learn about the area we live.

Sometimes it's the mental rest we need more than the physical rest.

Summer Camps have always been a highlight growing up. The memories you make with friends. You may still be looking for options this year and AISD along with the Discovery Center are helping to make this a no brainer.

If you didn't get to celebrate today, there are some things planned for this weekend that the family may enjoy.

Have you ever wondered how something was made?  Have you ever wanted to get crafty and make something useful from scratch?  The Wildcat Bluff Nature Center has a series of events called Potion Series.  It's a series where they will teach you how to make different mixes and useful items.  This Saturday learn how to make, soaps, lotions and lip balm.

Bees are so important to our environment.  You may think they might be a nuisance and you run when you see them because you don't want to be stung, but bees are needed.  They aren't just a bug that needs to be swatted.  The bee is misunderstood and now you'll have the opportunity to learn more about the bee and why it is one of the most important insects in our ecosystem.

How would you like to experience nature in a very awesome way.  You get to enjoy beautiful scenery including plants and wild life.  You get to enjoy delicious cuisine and you get to enjoy the company of some very wonderful people.  If this sounds heavenly to you then you need to make plans and get your tickets for the Wildcat Bluff Wild Fusion Culinary Challenge.
