This Week This Laugh Was Needed In Amarillo

Sometimes you just have a week. You know what I am talking about. You just need a good laugh. I got that this week and hopefully this can make you smile too. I am in no means complaining. To me it was just funny. My daughter blamed me saying my handwriting is bad.

So here is the story. I had this epiphany the other day. I have this plastic bench on my back porch that I just use for storage. I thought maybe I could move it to my front porch. I could then use it to store packages I get delivered. I have never had a package stolen but if I can make sure not to ever, why not.

So I cleaned it all up and moved it up front. I typed up a sign and taped it on top and then waited for a delivery to be scheduled. In the meantime we had those 50 mph winds and not only did it move my bench around on my porch but it tore off my sign. Epic fail.

In the meantime I had placed an order on Amazon so I had to punt when it came to putting up a new sign. I had to write it out. Yes, I have horrible handwriting but I printed it as best as I could and secured it to my mailbox. That is a much better surface to secure my sign.

So then I waited for my delivery. It came during the day on Monday and this is what I came home to. I will have to again say, it made me laugh.

The packages were left on top of the bench under the sign. Well close. I had another delivery yesterday but that one was happening at night. I really had no hope of finding it inside of my bench in the dark. This is what I went outside to when my Alexa let me know I had a package:

I found it inside of my bench. So score. I think this is going to work out after all. I will keep my fingers crossed.
