When I read the news about the Lizzie McGuire reboot the first person I had to tell was my daughter. She was a HUGE Lizzie McGuire/Hilary Duff fan.

If you haven't read about the reboot yet. You can HERE Reading about Lizzie McGuire took me back to the day that my daughter thought I was the best mom EVER!

Faith was in the 2nd grade and everything was Hilary Duff or Lizzie McGuire.

Yes, her birthday parties for a few years was Lizzie/Hilary themed.

She just loved her. I remember taking Faith to soccer practice and listening to the radio (I wasn't working in radio at that time....it was when I took a 6 year break) but I was listening because the station was making a concert announcement.

The announcement ended up being Hilary Duff in Lubbock. I couldn't wait to tell her.

Oh, I knew I was getting her tickets! I talked to another mom and they wanted to go too. So I knew what I had to do. I know that joining their fan club can get you some extra perks....like buying tickets before they go on sale. So I signed her up for the Hilary Duff fan club.

We got to buy our tickets early and got really close seats. So she was already excited. A month or so later the fan club announced a contest. A Hilary Duff look-alike contest The winner got to meet her and her sister Haylie. I thought this is perfect.

You had to already have tickets to the concert....which I did. One winner in each city got to meet her. So we dressed Faith up in her best Hilary Duff look and had her standing by her Hilary Duff bedding she got from Target. I mean she looked awesome.

A month or so goes by and I remember to this day getting the phone call. I missed it on my archaic cellphone but it was Hilary Duff's fan club calling. I had taken Faith and her friend Rebecca to Splash Amarillo that day. Rebecca was the one who was going to the show with us.

So when I got back home I called the fan club back. I did not ever tell Faith I was entering her into this contest. I didn't tell her this contest even existed. I didn't want to get her hopes up. Let me tell you how great it was once I called them and got the word that Faith indeed won. Included were 4 backstage passes. So us mom's got to go back with our 2nd graders so that was just perfect.
