The Amarillo Zoo is Having A Lions’ Birthday Bash

It's a birthday week at the Amarillo Zoo and they are celebrating it in a big way.  Solomon, Sarai, and Sheba, the Amarillo Zoo's African Lions, all turn 8 this month and they are celebrating with a roaring good time.

9:30am - 3:00pm

Events include:
* Watch the lions open their very own birthday present at 10:30am

* Learn about lions in a fun trivia true or false game

* Sign and leave a note on a lion size birthday card

* Make your very own lion mask

* Hang out with our costumed lion mascot and his friends

* Live music in the morning with Andy Chase Cundiff

* Enjoy a tasty treat courtesy of Great American Cookies

* Each lion gets their very own Big Texan Steak House 72oz steak for their birthday dinner!
