This has been a crazy ride. Ever since the pandemic first hit and places have had to close we have been hit with staffing shortages. Many restaurants have been hit. Many are trying their darnedest to get employees in to work so that they can all operate on a normal basis.

The next business hit is our beloved Donut Stop. They are definitely and mainstay here in Amarillo and Canyon. They have been great enough to run Krispy Kreme out of the area. With that being said according to their Facebook page they are going to have to make some adjustments to their hours of operations at some of their locations.

It looks like they do not have the manpower to open up their location on Amarillo Boulevard for some time. Their shortage will also hurt the Coulter and Canyon locations. Those locations won't be able to operate on what I would think would be their busiest times. They will have to be closed from Friday through Sunday. Those locations will be open Monday through Thursday.

A weekend is not a weekend without Donut Stop. So we need to get some employee's. This is a tough time when it is causing our Donut Stop to close.

So you need to make sure you call before you head to The Donut Stop just to make sure they are open. I sure hope that we can fix this employee shortage for all of our businesses here in Amarillo.

Amarillo Landmarks: Negative Yelp Reviews

Yelp can be a strange and angry place. That's what I found out recently when I decided to sort the reviews by "lowest rating" first.

I was okay with the people upset over bad service and what not. But I came across a few reviews that, for lack of a better word, left me speechless in their scathing negative reviews on some of Amarillo's most iconic places. Prepare your self for plenty of head shaking and "I dunno" shrugs.
