How good does it feel to accomplish the goals that you set out for yourself? Being able to check off an item or two really helps you to feel more optimistic about anything else you may have on your list of goals.

If 2020 has taught us anything it is that we need goals. We need something to look forward to for our well being. Maybe you realized you really need to be saving money. We may not have all been prepared financially to face what happened last year. Maybe we gained a pound or two during the pandemic and now need to get rid of some of that extra baggage.

Whatever goals you may have set up for you to accomplish there are steps you need to take to help you on your way. Always write your goals. It really does make them more real. It doesn't have to be on social media but if you do it may help to make you feel a little more accountable. If that is not something you can do then write them on a sticky note and put it on the refrigerator. This way you see your goals every day.

If you can envision how you will feel once you accomplish that could go a long way to help you. If you can feel excited about the outcome it may make it easier to put it on the top of your list.

Decide why you have the goals that you do. Having a reason and how these goals can help you in the future can go a long way. If saving money for an emergency is on your list think about how afraid you were when the pandemic hit and you had nothing. Imagine how great it would feel to have the means to help you and the family if any emergency comes up. Maybe it is not a pandemic but if you blow a tire on your way to work having that money is a lot easier. Knowing that you have the funds to stop at Discount Tire and get one is freeing.

Make sure you do the work necessary. If you want to eat healthier than take those steps. Spend some time on the weekend prepping your meals for the week. That sure makes it easier when you get home from work and you're exhausted. Having food ready makes it easier to avoid deciding to drive thru again.

Your goal may be to lose 25 pounds. That sounds scary at first. You can set up mini goals to make it easier. Start off wanting to lose five pounds. Then when you achieve that goal then move on to another five goals. Those mini goals seem a lot more attainable then that whopping twenty five you first set yourself up to do.
