Did you know that if you eat a certain kind of food it can put us in a good or bad mood? It can. You would think then, why would we ever eat a food that can put us in a bad mood? We do it all the time.

Foods that are not good for us can put us in a bad mood. Good and healthy foods can put us in a good mood. We all know how hard it can be to eat healthy all the time. That is when we slip to those comfort foods. We end up feeling worse for it in the long run.

Those 'bad for us' foods--the ones that put us in a bad mood--are so good to eat, though. That is why we fall into this so much. Foods like pizza, burgers, white bread, cake, chips, donuts, and alcohol. Just to name a few of the foods that can make or break us.

They are easy. We can pick up a pizza or go by the drive-thru for a burger and there it is: the convenience of grabbing a burger or bag of chips. You end up feeling bad about it later on. Your stomach feels full of dread.

On the contrary, you can grab some of these good foods to lift your spirits. You need to eat more eggs, salmon, apples, coffee, dark chocolate and fruits. The best fruits for your mood are grapes, berries, oranges, apples and melons. When you eat foods like that, your spirit is lifted.

I guess the old adage of 'you are what you eat' holds true here. So, eat more foods that make you feel better and not those that leave you feeling like garbage.
