806 Health Tip: All That Food at Work Can Be OK
Work can be one of the worst places to be when you are trying to eat healthy. There is always an excuse to pig out.
It may be a birthday celebration, a retirement, or just because it is Friday. When you work somewhere with a lot of employees it gets tough to be good all the time.
So what do you do? You don't want to be rude and not partake when there is a food day and a celebration.
A new study found that when we do partake in a lot of food our bodies can bounce back pretty fast actually. That is good news. Here is the thing though. It needs to only be an occasional overeating day. That one day is probably not going to blow your whole diet.
The problem is if you keep finding excuses. You can't do that every day. That will catch up with you pretty fast.
Our bodies are pretty good at coping with the occasional pig out. It will not have a significant long-term effect on your metabolism or insulin levels. Again if you do this every once in a while.
So if you get to work and there is a celebration in your department don't feel bad about pigging out. As long as it's only today. Get back to your normal eating habits tomorrow and your body will bounce back.
