When you are loading your dishwasher you think that you will get really clean dishes out once it's done washing. I mean that is your goal anyway. Clean Dishes. You may, though, be doing something that keeps that from happening.

Do you rinse off all the food on your dishes before you load them in the dishwasher? I will admit that I sure do. I feel that I am ensuring my dishwasher will do the job and get those dishes really clean. When in fact you really are not.

Dishwashers are equipped to judge how dirty your dishes really are and then work accordingly. Most of our dishwashers have sensors that figure out just how dirty our dishes are. If you rinse them off your dishwasher may think your dishes are already pretty clean. If that is the case your dishwasher will only use a light wash.

Your dishwasher wont use the hottest water or the most jet pressure to really get those dishes clean. So if you are loading those dishes with food particles than your dishwasher will wash accordingly. You will get the best wash for your dishes.

So try this approach next time. That is what I am going to do. So basically don't do the work for the dishwasher. You can go ahead and scrap off any food off the plates but then just load them into the dishwasher.

Here is a situation where being a little bit lazier actually works in your favor. You will get cleaner dishes. Oh and that really is what we want.
