This is the time of year that if you had a garden this summer you are reaping the rewards. Sometimes you are even lucky enough to have a friend who gives you veggies from his garden.

With that I have been busy finding different recipes to try. I made a stir fry, cucumber salad, fried okra, stewed tomatoes, stuffed pizza zucchini boats. I spent many hours on Pinterest trying to find new recipes to try.

Over the weekend I tried my hand at Hot Sauce. OK....salsa if you will. I find when I go out to a Mexican or Tex Mex Restaurant they tend to bring me chips and hot sauce but it lead to a big debate on my Facebook page.....so to avoid that I will say I made salsa for the first time.

I looked up recipes on Pinterest but couldn't find just one I loved so I just threw stuff together. I took all the red tomatoes I had and cut up a little and put it in my blender. I chopped up onions and hot peppers that also came from my friends garden. The hotter the better. I also chopped up some garlic and cilantro. I thought why not. I decided to throw in another hot pepper. Why not.

Blended it for a few minutes and grabbed a chip. For my first attempt at hot sauce <cough cough> I mean salsa....it was pretty good. It was spicy. It was perfect!

So now thanks to my friends garden I have salsa for days!
