New Amarillo Restaurant Moving Into Empty Location
There is nothing but good news when we hear about a new restaurant coming to Amarillo. Especially when it is taking the place of an empty location. We want all of our empty buildings filled with new life. That is always best for our city.
I saw over the weekend that someone is moving into the old Carl Jr's location on 45th (5900 SW 45th Ave). Anytime we get a new place it is great news. I remember back in the day where the only place you could get seafood was at Red Lobster. I get it, we are nowhere near an ocean or anything.
It's been great having more than one place now that serves just that. We still have Red Lobster but we also have several others. We have Sam's Southern Eatery, Drunken Oyster, we still have Scott's Oyster Bar. We will be adding to that mix. It looks like this will happen in about three months. So it is even better to have an estimated date.
The place is called The Catch. They have a location in Lubbock already and it looks pretty darn good. I am all open to try all of our restaurants. Amarillo is famous for having a lot of them. That is great for our economy and for the people driving through on I40.
This is the announcement I saw over the weekend:
