Well according to a new study that is exactly what you need to do. Get yourself a plant and put it by your computer screen so you can see it. Having a plant can lower your heart rate and just make you relax a lot more.
Just seeing the plant throughout the day and every day makes a difference. Also the fact that you have something to care for and water helps you out too. The best part? It doesn't even have to be a big plant. It doesn't have to take up a lot of work.
You can even get one of those small succulents and add it to your work space. Try it out and see if that seems to calm you down a bit. Breathe. Relax.
