There are a lot of times that I forget to eat. Are you the same way? Especially if you are working from home. Heck, sometimes when I am in the office too. I just get so busy. It seems crazy, I know.

When do you usually eat breakfast? Do you eat something as soon as you get up? Do you skip breakfast all together. We know that is not what we are supposed to do. We are told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I always think about my body being like a car that needs gas. If you wake up without breakfast your body doesn't have the energy it needs to get to the next meal. We then either eat lunch too early or eat snacks that are not great for us.

What happens if you eat breakfast and then it seems you are starving about mid-morning? You then find yourself reaching for a donut, you don't want one but you need it to make it until it's lunchtime. Well that is a sign that what you ate for breakfast was not what your body needed. What did you eat? It probably was lacking in protein and fiber. Both of those help you to stay fuller longer.

The perfect outline for your early meals is to eat a well balanced breakfast about thirty minutes to up to an hour after you wake up. If you eat something that contains both fiber and protein, like eggs and maybe oatmeal you will be set. You shouldn't be ready for lunch until about five hours later.

If you get up around 6 am and eat breakfast around 6:30am or 7am then you should be set until 11:40am or noon. A perfect time to have your lunch. You won't even have to make a mid morning stop at Pak-A-Sak to grab a bag of chips. This will really help you if you are trying to cut calories. Eat a well balanced breakfast and the rest come easy.
