Banana’s to the Rescue!
I like bananas.....it probably is my go to fruit. It's easy to throw one in my purse and head out the door to work.
I'm also that person that pretty much likes banana flavored anything. There use to be a banana cream pie blizzard at Dairy Queen that I loved to order.....but I digress.
The point of this is to let you know that people whose diets are rich in potassium may be less prone to high blood pressure. That is important to me because it seems every time I get my blood pressure checked.....well it's not my favorite time of the appointment. So I need to eat even more bananas.
Besides reducing sodium and taking other heart-healthy steps, eat potassium-packed picks such as bananas, cantaloupe, and oranges.
Maybe I should throw an orange and cantaloupe in my purse too as I am heading out the door. I would rather eat these delicious fruits than take blood pressure medicine anyway!
