806 Health Tip: How You Can Work Out Without Equipment
It's a never ending battle to get in shape. You want to eat healthier and work out. It can really be a struggle sometime.
You probably think that if you don't have time to go to the gym, you are doomed. No, you don't necessarily have to have a gym membership at all. Then you think well I don't have a treadmill or any other equipment. What can I do?
Well never fear. Here are some great exercises that you don't need a thing to actually do them. Just you and your body. No equipment at all. Oh and they are very effective.
This first one I have a love/hate relationship with. Back in gym class I remember they were called squat thrusts. I'm talking about the burpee. Just the name alone wreaks fear. Though they are a great exercise to do.
If you don't know what a burpee is I can help you with that. You start in a standing position and then you drop down to do a push up. You are not done there. Nope you then pop back up and jump with your hands over your head. You keep repeating these. Do as many as you can. This killer exercise works your chest, shoulders, core, arms, legs, hips and your behind.
Another one that is just as good and not necessarily as brutal. I'm talking about the mountain climbers. You start in a plank position. Then basically you bring one knee to chest and alternate legs. Just like you are climbing a mountain or running in place. This one is great cardio. It also works a bunch of your muscles all at one time.
If you are not good at push-ups now is the time to start. You remember that practice makes perfect, right? Especially when you want your arms to start looking nice for the summer. Start with doing girl pushups, with you on your knees and not on your feet. Keep practicing. Once you get that down pat try to move on to the more difficult ones. The guy push up. It can be done. You just need to practice. Start with just a few and work your way up.
Anything gets easier in time.
